Innovations in cultural institutions’ services

Summary/Abstract: The importance of innovations in the public sector is increasing. It also concerns applying innovations in cultural institutions. At the same time, there is lack of knowledge regarding innovations in such organizations. In particular, we know little about innovations in cultural services. Thus, in order to characterize such innovations, the questionnaire-based research was conducted among the staff of cultural institutions. Innovations in researched organizations varied. The main types observed were those of small level of novelty, created by the staff, implemented on purpose and in evolutional manner, coupled with other types of innovations, and with positive effects.
