Summary/Abstract: Through its educational function, the Ethnographic and the Historical Museum at the beginning of the 2 1 st century are called to support the process of constructing a new spirituality based on tolerance in the perception of the otherness in its historical, confessional, social and cultural forms. In this regard, the intercultural perspective in the educational activities of the ethnographic and historical museum is a shared view, based on mutual knowledge, dialogue and interaction between cultures while preserving the identity of each of them. The role of these museums as part of the “national narrative” is also very important, but in the context of Bulgaria’s European orientation.
