The use and the interpretation of sources for dating Wallachian nobiliary residences during the 17th century

Summary/Abstract: When carrying out the documentation during a historical research, one must consider the distinction between primary historical sources and secondary literature. The recourse to primary sources is essential in order to verify the suppositions contained in the works of various specialists and to enrich historical knowledge in a quantitative way. The reconstruction of the image and the manner in which nobiliary residences were built is possible by processing the information and by using a wide variety of archaeological and written historical sources.
