Summary/Abstract: For Vasile Pârvan, tragedy is found in the conscience of humanity. Tragedy has at its center the soul of all humanity. The universe actually contains the soul of man. Man thus submits to cosmic laws. Heroes take upon themselves the sadness specific to humanity. Vasile Pârvan believes that at the center of the tragedy is sentimental loneliness. Antinomies shine through: Eros-Eris, pathos-ethos, cosmic-individual. All these are real points of reference for man on his historical evolutionary path.
