Summary/Abstract: The arrival of the German Prince, William of Wied, in Albania did not change the situation in the south of the country. The North Epirot movement, which aimed at resisting the decisions of the Great Powers about the inclusion of the regions of Korea and Gjirokastra within the Albanian state, continued its activity. The aggravated situation in South Albania and the pressure exercised by the international community to start negotiations in order to bring an end to the conflict, made the Albanian government return to negotiations through the International Commission of Control (ICC). On 6t h May 1914 the Albanian government authorized the ICC that on its behalf start negotiations with the self proclaimed Northern Epirot government. The Albanian government handed over to the ICC the proposals which should have been the basis for the negotiations.
