Summary/Abstract: Two are the peculiarities which characterize the Greek-Albanian relations after the 90-s. The first has to do with the traditional contradiction and the memories of the past which it is difficult to hide from the Greek and Albanian memory. As such, though in not evident way, they have influenced the relations between the two countries. The second peculiarity belong to the present. It has to do with the economic interests and the mutual profits. The introduction of Albania in the capitalist system opened an Albanian market for Greece which would influence on its economic growth. The growth would be realized by the import of the goods and the export of cheap Albanian manpower. The very difficult economic situation of Albania and the impossibility to open new work-places obliged many Albanians, including here even many members of the minority, to emigrate to Greece to secure a job and a better life.
