Summary/Abstract: Although the Year of Prayer in the Life of the Church and the Christian and the Commemorative Year of the Hesychast Saints Simeon the New Theologian, Gregory Palamas, and Paisius of Neamț in the Romanian Patriarchate has ended, it is fitting to continue reading the texts of the Holy Scriptures in this key of prayer. The Holy Scripture is primarily a theological book (or a theological treatment of the history of the world and the Jewish people); at the same time, Evagrius Ponticus says that a true theologian is a person of prayer. Therefore, we can also consider the Holy Scripture as a book of prayer. Indeed, we find numerous examples of prayers and people praying in the Old Testament, in the Four Gospels, Jesus Christ Himself is our model of prayer, and in the Acts of the Apostles and all the Epistles, we see the Holy Apostles as models, par excellence, of prayer. Thus, I set out in this work to go through the text of the two Epistles to the Thessalonians and to sketch a portrait of St. Apostle Paul as a model of a person of prayer. As the structure of the work, I started from the four forms of prayer as described by St. Apostle Paul in 1 Timothy 2:1 ('I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving be made for all people,') and in the interpretation of Father M-A. Costa De Beauregard.
