Summary/Abstract: In this work, after a general description of this psalm (including highlighting its use in Jewish and Orthodox worship), I will briefly present the patristic reception of the Psalm, then I will highlight some theological ideas (messianic, dogmatic, and moral) and I will conclude with a parallel of this psalm with the Beatitudes given to us by our Savior Jesus Christ in the Sermon on the Mount (Mt 5:3-12).
