Summary/Abstract: A model is presented for the influence of leadership styles on organizational culture in hospitals in Sofia, Plovdiv, and Stara Zagora among 376 research participants: doctors, nurses, administration. The applied methods are the Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ) developed by B. Bass, the OCAI model of Cameron and Quinn for the study of value preferences to the type of culture and the questionnaire of Donelan and colleagues (The Mini-IPIP – International Personality Item Pool), adapted by Sonia Karabeliova and colleagues to the Bulgarian sociocultural context. The results of the research show that idealized influence with the highest values affects clan culture only, followed by conditional rewards and exception management affecting adhocratic culture. Inspirational motivation is dominant in market and hierarchical cultures.
