PREVENTION OF THE RISK OF PHYSICAL AGGRESSION IN EDUCATIONAL SETTINGS

Summary/Abstract: The focus of the article is on the main aspects of prevention in the work with children with challenging behavior, particularly in cases where there is a high risk of violent behavior which may require the use of physical intervention by educational staff. The aspects of the risk caused by this behaviour are presented as well as the aspects related to the interventions. Paying particular attention to local legislation and policies on combating bullying and violence in preschool and school education, the main risk factors have been identified. The importance of prevention at the stage of escalation when challenging behavior has been observed.
