Summary/Abstract: The archaeological research carried out in recent years in the eastCarpathian area have resulted in the discovery of many sites pertaining to all historical periods. Particularly, the Botoșani County has benefitted from a special attention over time, due to the archaeological potential that determined systematic archaeological excavations or field surveys. Their outcomes were included in archaeological repertories and synthetic or monographic works. Recently, in November 2021, during non-invasive archaeological research conducted in the micro-zone of the Middle Prut Depression (east of the Botoșani Country) by the authors of this paper, we have identified a new medium-sized prehistorical settlement dating to the Eneolithic, ascribed to the Cucuteni culture, which brings new data on the evolution of the Eneolithic communities east from the Carpathians. As our main objective was to identify new archaeological points in this space, we focused on the commune of Manoleasa, which researchers have studied intensely. From a statistical perspective, this territory comprises 12 archaeological sites pertaining to the Cucuteni culture. In the following lines, we will make a preliminary presentation of the settlement making the object of our study, based on the preliminary data available thus far.
