The Environment of the Romanian Trade Enterprises. Opportunities and Challenges for Human Resources Management

Summary/Abstract: By conceiving the human resource function as a subsystem within the organisation system, it is obvious that the human resource management processes are taking place in the context of the organisation's internal environment, as well as in the context of its external environment, also depending to a certain extent on the environmental factors influencing them. Contemporary organisations exist and operate in an ever-changing environment, acting upon them through specific factors. Since the stake is the very survival of the organisation, it is clear to see the major importance of the analysis of these environmental factors, as well as of their impact on the processes within the organisation. Starting from these considerations, I analysed the influences manifested by certain environmental factors, connected with the international circumstances (globalisation and regional integration), as well as with the national scene, on the Romanian trade enterprises, noticing their impact on human resources and their management.
