Summary/Abstract: Republic after December 30, 1947. The year 1949 represents the year in which the collectivization process of agriculture began, and the period 1949-1953 represented the hardest period for the peasantry. The change of course decided by the plenary in November 1958 also meant the end of the short era of peace granted to the peasantry. In 1958, agricultural households cultivated only 17.5% of the arable land, so that, after only 4 years in 1962, the percentage rose to 96%, and collectivization was practically completed.
