A SKETCH HISTORY OF THE LIBRARIES FROM TARA SILVANIEI (BETWEEN THE XVIIth AND THE XIXth CENTURY) FROM A PARATEXTHOLOGRAPHIC PERSPECTIVE

Summary/Abstract: The author is undertaking a historical reconstruction of the private libraries or those found in rectories, especially from a paratextholographic perspective, meaning, by searching closely the dynamics of theses collections with the help of information found in the holograph notes on old books from Tara Silvaniei – The County of Silvania (The Shires of Crasna and Solnocul de Mijloc), notes that attest their presence here, between 1624 and 1876. Besides computer processing the notes, with the purpose of analyzing the way the rectorial libraries were built in time, the author used, as an innovation, the attestation through notes of the books entering the functional circuit as a guiding mark for a comparative study of the growth of the collections, between “the marking of ritual books”, registered on the occasion of the canonical visits in 1776 and the situation ascertained by parish inventories between 1853 and 1876.
