Summary/Abstract: In the last few decades, digital technologies have transformed the way information is collected, processed and shared, providing significant opportunities to improve transparency and efficiency. In the era of digitization, transparency is the key aspect in the fight against political corruption which seriously disrupts democratic processes and undermines the rule of law. Corruption is a global problem that seriously disrupts economic development, weakens institutions and undermines the basic values of society. Today, it is becoming more and more complex, especially in the context of political corruption, which directly affects democratic processes and citizens' trust in public institutions. Political corruption is reflected in the misuse of public functions for personal or party benefit, often hidden in a lack of transparency. This paper analyzes the role of international law in promoting digital transparency as a means of combating political corruption, focusing on key international legal instruments and their application in national legislations. Special attention is paid to practical challenges in the implementation of these standards, as well as the role of international and national courts in the use of digital evidence in corruption cases, as well as the contribution of civil society and non governmental organizations in promoting digital transparency. Through a comparative study, the paper offers recommendations for the improvement of legal frameworks and policies in order to achieve a higher level of transparency and accountability in the public sector. Finally, the paper proposes measures to improve international cooperation in the use of digital technologies to fight against political corruption, emphasizing the need for education and raising awareness of the importance of digital transparency for the protection of human rights and the preservation of the public interest.
