Summary/Abstract: article aims to analyze the legal status of local policeman, from a comparative perspective in relation to policeman status. They revealed both commonalities and differences between the two categories of civil servants. The policeman is part of civil servants with special status, while local policeman is a civil servant who acts specific public local policeman. The question arises whether the current legal solution on the Statute of local policeman is sufficient and appropriate. We believe in the sense that the future would require changing it, meaning that local policeman is incorporated in the category of civil servants who enjoys a special status.
