Summary/Abstract: Romanian Writers within the Files of Securitate Archive – General Notes The aim of this paper is to take a look back at a series of actions and influences of the Securitate – the political police of the communist regime – on writers. We will name some of those who worked in the literary field in Romania at that time, but also the way they were surveilled, the way their files were fabricated with false information and how censorship influenced, limited or even annihilated their activity. We will also point out some general things on the way in which those literary figures chose to react and resist the harassment of the totalitarian regime. Recent researches show a growing interest in declassified information, both from the perspective of the literary and political communities.
