On the Question of the Hybridity of the Text “On the Creation of the World” in Two Kitabs of Lithuanian Tatars

Summary/Abstract: This article examines the text “On the Creation of the World” from two kitabs of theLithuanian Tatars, created in the first half of the eighteenth century (kitab of IvanLutskevich) and the first quarter of the nineteenth century (kitab of Aisha Smol-skaya), held in the Wroblewski Library of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences andthe National Museum of Lithuania. Based on the phonetic, morphological and lexicalfeatures of both texts, an attempt is made to substantiate the hybridity of the analysedtexts.
