Summary/Abstract: The monetary thesaurus from Ţigăneşti, Munteni village, Galaţi County was discovered in the 7th decade of the XXth century and consisted of about 60 golden coins and around 100 silver ones. The thesaurus has been preserved only in part; among the recovered pieces, there are the Ducats issued by the towns of Holland (42), Utrecht (13), Gelder (1), West Frisia (1) from the Lower Countries and from the Habsburgic Empire, as well as the rectoral Taller, issued by the Dalmatian town of Ragusa. All the coins were issued in the XVIIIth century, the oldest in 1738 and the latest in 1775, and they are now in the patrimony of the History Museum of Galaţi and of the Mixed Museum of Tecuci.
