Archaeological sites and points in Galaţi county

Summary/Abstract: The archaeological researches, preventive or systematic, as well as the fortuitous discoveries of material traces from various historical ages, on the territory of Galaţi County, made the object of many studies and the documentary support of the present work which attempts on a brief presentation of the archaeological sites and discoveries from Galaţi County. In this review, we tried to include as many as possible of the archaeological sites and points found so far, dating from the Paleolithic until the XVIIIth century, hoping that future researches will add new objectives to the archaeological repertoire of Galaţi County.
