Summary/Abstract: The authors analyse the two rare pieces of the collection of weapons of the History Museum of Galaţi: a flintlock pistol (Italian), manufactured under the licence of the illustrious Cominazzo de Gordone armament workshop (Brescia), dating back to the first half of the XVIIIth century, and a unique artillery device (Turkish), a ship canon tube, probably manufactured in the Arsenal of Istanbul Imperial Fleet, bearing important inscriptions: tuğra of Sultan Mahmud II and the date: 1234 H. (October, 31 1818 – October, 19 1819).
