Summary/Abstract: CONSENSUS AND ENERGETIC MEASURES FOR THE DEFENCE OF THE NATIONAL POLITICAL INTERESTS REFLECTED IN THE CORRESPONDENCE BETWEEN THE DIPLOMAT NICOLAE TITULESCU AND THE GENERAL ALEXANDRU AVERESCU This study exploits several personal letters between the diplomat Nicolae Titulescu and the general Alexandru Averescu, dating from between 1921 and 1927, and dealing with several major issues of the Romanian foreign policy, after the achievement of the Great Unification (payment of war remedies, the conflict with the Magyar ethnics which opted for Magyar citizenship, the support granted to the project of the “European construction”, under the patronage of the League of the Nations).
