Summary/Abstract: Migration can be defined as the departure of individuals from one geographical location to another in order to settle permanently. The mobility of people among the settlement units in the country is the 'internal migration', and the results of migration between cities are related to the process of adaptation to the city. Each immigration has its own characteristics, each immigration process has well- difficulties in the process of adaptation to the immigrated city, and the effects of immigration on the individual and the reasons for migration have been examined. In this study, the migration of individuals from a small city to a metropolitan city, the anticipation of this migration and the process of harmonization with the city were investigated. The basic test for the purpose of the study is: How is the integration process of those who migrate to metropolitan areas? How did the people who migrated from Artvin to another cities affect the adaptation process in the city they migrated to? Those questions have to be the focus of the sentence. While analyzing the results of the study, a sample was taken from 289 registered members in Artvin City. To each individual 5 questionnaire containing demographic information and 25 questions about migration were applied. Survey data were analyzed by SPSS 22.0 program. In our study, when the evaluation is based on the demographic information, the relationship between education level and gender is meaningful, but statistically significant differences cannot be expressed according to marital status and age variable.
