USE OF SMART BOARD IN TEACHING GEOGRAPHY

Summary/Abstract: The SMART board is a modern tool, which combines the latest discovered technologies: electronics, the Internet, and Software. The supplementary necessary equipment consists of computer and video projector. It can be used to save, memorize, print information or even to send e-mails, without touching the computer, in this way assuming the functions of the keyboard and of the mouse. This SMART board has multiple functions: it improves efficiency, it saves the presentation time, it possesses a system, which recognizes handwriting and can be transformed into a typed text. It makes performers work a lot easier and, at the same time, it facilitates audiences, visual opportunities. In teaching Geography, the SMART board allows teachers to use different graphic and cartographic representation, because many varied didactic materials are included in this soft.
