Summary/Abstract: This study examines several incantations against the disease known as “nezhit”, focusing on the pronunciation of sacred words as a primary method of healing the sick. The connection between these incantations and prayers against this disease, found mainly in various medieval books of both liturgical and apocryphal nature, is also explored.
