Summary/Abstract: The article covers the general and specific syntactical features of texts of Belarusian and Slovak folk fairy tales in view of their volume, dialogical or monologic form and general or correlating semantic elements of text-formation. The ration of simple and complex sentences, their type and the amount of predicative parts in complex sentences were chosen for the basic typological indications.
