Summary/Abstract: The author aims at proving a universal statement relating to the global and permanent interdependence of realia in the world, as well as the necessity of considering and valuing all that has been created by mankind not only in point of tangible assets, but also as far as intellectual, spiritual, thus intangible assets are concerned. This is true to communication, as the basis of nowadays general and business communication, as well as cross-cultural communication has been set by the long list of scholars that have made their contribution to the evolution of mankind and thinking during the past millenia. The paper intends to make a short overview of the history and theory of communication, focusing on business communication, to present the basic classification of cultural models and corporate culture communication and to conclude on assertive and efficient communication at the workplace.
