Summary/Abstract: The published letters of Henrieta Radzikauskaite to Liudas Gira were written at the beginning of the twentieth century before World War I. The publication of a large quantity of letters seems to be of lasting value, as the letters reflect not only the relationship between the two people but also the epoch. They contain rather many cultural and historical realia as well as references to people of culture of those times. The introductory article presents information about Henrieta Radzikauskaite and her environment. Much about her is written by Jonas Kaskaitis, a physician and poet, who lived in the U.S.A. for a long time.
