Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the landscape poetics. Here, landscape is understood as a harmonious concord of nature and culture’s elements which bring nature and a man closer to each other in aunique way, becoming the correlate of feelings. The poetic landscape is explored in several aspects.First section deals with the main dominants of the world-view (visionarism, archaic, and sacralways). The analysis of the semantics of spaces and ways of experiencing the landscape is presentedin the following sections. The article also deals with the main transformations of landscape andexistential experiences evoked by them. References are made to very few attempts to analyze the landscape (Vigmantas Butkus, Viktorija Daujotytė, Brigita Speičytė, and etc.). The article comesto the conclusion that the landscape constitutes the basis of Juškaitis’ creative world. His poetryis predominated by traditional elements of Lithuanian landscape. The central theme of Juškaitis’ poems explores the idea of home which is a value in itself. Time, seasons, the cycle of a day and nightand especially their shifts are important for the exploration of landscape. In Juškaitis’ poetry, the main landscape transformations are experienced at nights and most often during at summer nights.
