COOPERATION BETWEEN LOCAL GOVERNMENTS AND ENTREPRENEURS ON THE EXAMPLE OF CHOSEN CLUSTER INITIATIVES

Summary/Abstract: The paper shows the role of cooperation between local governments and entre¬preneurs in the process of creation and functioning of cluster initiatives (on the example of Opole Voivodeship). A particular role in this process is played by public administration. It has a task to support initiatives creating the “climate” for the development of entrepreneurship and initiating the creation of clusters. Attention is paid to a few questions: Does the coopera¬tion between local governments and entrepreneurs exist? What kind of barriers are there in this subject?
