Summary/Abstract: To obtain concrete results in the health management through G.I.S. we are forced to resort to “spatial autocorrelation indices”. Moran Index and Geary's ratio has well defined statistical properties to describe the global spatial autocorrelation. They are not effective in identifying different types of models for meeting space. They are described as “hot spots” or “cold spots” sometimes. If high values are close to each other, the two local indexes will register acceptable high positive spatial autocorrelation. These values can be classified as hot spots. The existing classification of Public Health Directorate of Bihor County was used for existing hospitals at the time of the study: clinical hospitals, municipal and city hospitals, health centres and single-specialty hospitals. Each of those types of hospital was included in the digital map layer.
