Summary/Abstract: In this article we have reviewed the most important dimensions of lay psychology. To this purpose we presented its most important contents according to the hypothesis that lay psychology is structured on two levels of complexity, an interpersonal level and a social level. Although some authors speak about social representations as lay psychology, our point of view, even if it admits the importance and complexity of social representations, try to include them into lay psychology.
