Summary/Abstract: The notion “world society” thate is presence in the last decade not only in geopolitical literature but also in daily statements of differenet political persons. This text shows that this notion was not made in nearly past, it was made and used from the European intellectualists in 18 century. In it’s base is universalistic position in phi- losophy. Many philosopher in 18 century thought that the future will lead toward some kind of political unification of the world, toward making world society. On the other hand, while their universalism that comes from the position that universal values are inherent the human being, could be base of the political project that for purpose could have imposing the same political, economical and cultural, religious patterns to the different societies, cultural relativism began as reaction on universalism, cultural relativism denies the possibility of the political project that would be based on the same and common values. For the cultural relativists that kind of values don’t exist.
