Summary/Abstract: In this paper is treated on of most disputed issues in Albanian grammatology (grammar): Classification of verbs in conjugations. As important classifications, there are treated classifications that we can find at well-known authors - Konstandin Kristoforidhi and Sami Frashëri. Kristoforidhi classifies verbs in 18 conjugations without stating any criteria that he relies, and without separating respective endings for each mood, tense and person. Different from Kristoforidhi, Sami Frashëri clarifies in his theoretical explanations that verbs are divided according to ending of participle in 5 conjugations. Nevertheless, he showed himself uncertain (vacillating) about this classification in his Grammar. Each author presents a list of irregular verbs and most of them (40 verbs) appear as such according to both authors. It is noticed a great number of irregular verbs at both grammarians and this could be explained with being clearly and detailed defied criteria for classification of verbs on conjugations.
