Summary/Abstract: The article analyses the problems of tradition of the Lithuanian resistance against Soviet occupation songs and of the contents and sensation of exiles’ choirs active at present. Since regaining Independence the tradition of resistance songs has been revived, exiles’ choirs intensively propagate high ideas of patriotic and humanistic fight against war, evil, violence. An idea is raised that these traditions imply historical memory, which is actual for nowadays Lithuanian society as well.
