Summary/Abstract: There are a lot of disciplines that approach the problem of identity within the different meanings it may have. Besides that, identity manifestations in different domains of social life, the historical mutations enrich and complicate extremely the picture. The dispute over the concept is huge, even if the deeper one dig, the meaningless the concept becomes. In this contribution, the approach is based on semiotics, within the levels that regard our issue and with its relations to the poetics and linguistics. A writer and his or her creation are placed in the triangle of semiotics, that of referent, the significant and the signifier.
