Summary/Abstract: Postconceptualistic period of the turn of 1970 s and 1980 s beared fruits in visual arts with new trends of painting expression. So-called picture demand prevalent on art-trading market, caused by Conceptualistic ideas of rejecting a real painting or sculpture object, brought back the interest in art traditions. In 1980 s and 1990 s Italian “Arte Cifra”, German “Neue Wilde” and American “New Wave” – new trends called Transavantgarde – were expressing a really global tendency of art-trading market. It is that Gianemilio Zincone’s works exemplify distinctly polyphonic production, grown on the Postmodernist territory of intermingling cultures. This Italian painter’s art is situated exactly in between Italian “Code” Art and British Pop-Art, with David Hockney and Mario Schifano inspirations.
