Summary/Abstract: This article is a personal account based on the author’s experience as a spectator and later as a theatrical reviewer of Řehák’s performances in the second half of the 20th century. It is written on the occasion of the 85th birthday of František Řehák, the Olomouc actor who also performed in Zlín and Prague. The variety in terms of Řehák’s chosen roles along with the convincing depth of his stage interpretations provide clear evidence of the exceptional range of his acting craft.
