Summary/Abstract: Curricula are political educational programmes, as they include those educational, training and qualification objectives which the older generation considers to be useful or even mandatory for the young generation. They include the cultural heritage to be handed down from the past into the future, but also those skills that are considered to be necessary in order to address a hypothetical future. The present work presents the concept of curriculum, a brief historical presentation of the curriculum, features and functions of the curriculum, the open and closed curricula, teacher planning and teaching foreign languages.
