Summary/Abstract: The anaphore and deixis are two textual-discursive phenomena that share certain markers. For example, the first and second person personal pronoun are trully deictic, while the third person personal pronoun is anaphoric. Our pragma-semantic approach reveals the opposition between endophoric and exophoric, that is dependant on the location of the referent : in the text or in the enunciation situation. Our point of view refers to the fact that the non-textual location is not synonymous to the deictic reference. The difference in terms of location between deixis and anaphore is not solely linguistic, as there are no referentual expressions in the true sense of the word for each employment, be it anaphoric and/or deictic. The pronoun in its inferential employment sends to a referent that can be placed at the centre of attention by participants in communication. We considered the memory employments of the pragmatic anaphores, due to the fact that the pronoun is employed solely for referents that are already the focus, either having been introduced by the previous context or by the salience of the referent in the enunciation situation.
