Health policies and its applicaion in the Ataturk Era

Summary/Abstract: At the end of the National Liberation War and the early years of Republican period, the most important problem was to fight against endemic diseases. İn these years, the war was making difficult to fight against health problems like other socio-economic problems caused by the war, Inadequacy of healthy human resources was also a main problem. Effective measures implemented by the state against the diseases coming from domestic and international processes significantly reduced the effects of these diseases. Thanks to the measures taken by the governments, fatal disease like cholera, plague, tuberculosis, trachoma have disappeared now.
