THE INTERPRETATION OF LAW BY DIFFERENT CATEGORIES OF PEOPLE

Summary/Abstract: The study is part of a research aimed to analyze the behavioral forms of compliance and circumvention of the law, the primary purpose being to check the validity of existing theories on the Romanian society, finding commonalities between these theories (and elaborate a more complex theory, summing the verified theories). Understanding the behavioral forms, could be elaborated more efficient policies to prevent illegal acts. The study analyses how is interpreted the law by different categories (lawyers, police officers, public servants, students) and what are they general attitude to the legal provisions. The results show that those who work with the application of laws consider that the goal of the legislation is to satisfy public necessity, but students consider that the present legislation represents coercive measures of Power to maintain his privileges. In the same time, acknowledges regarding laws is lowest among students, but the conformity between legal provisions and expectations from the legal provisions is high.
