THE IMPACT OF GLOBALIZATION ON THE MISSIONS OF FORCES OF ORDER AND SECURITY

Summary/Abstract: The globalisation and the international integration, including in terms of new threats and vulnerabilities against security forced the armed forces to fulfill missions of internal public order and, on the other hand, the forces of order and security to enforce international missions. When the police and the army act in the same context, domestic or international, the traditional distinction between the police and the military missions faded in the last decades, so sometimes both categories perform functions somewhat similar in maintaining the public order at a national, regional or global level.
