Summary/Abstract: This text is a historical overview of the founding of the Diocese of Vad, Feleac, and Cluj, following a concept that came into being during the time of Saint Hierarch Andrei Şaguna, but was implemented only later, in 1921. The text emphasizes the relevant points in the history of the Diocese and aspects of the life and activity of the fi ve founders (Bishop Nicolae Ivan, Metropolitan Nicolae Colan, Archbishop Teofi l Herineanu, Metropolitan Bartolomeu Anania and Metropolitan Andrei Andreicuţ), as well as of the auxiliary bishops and pastors in Cluj. All these years proved to be under the protection of God, Who always sets the right man in the right place, for man to consecrate the land
