Summary/Abstract: This paper is an attempt to overcome the classical phenomenological conception of life-world as an “abstractive kernel” of the plurality of specific cultural life-worlds. The author argues briefly for the view that life-world is the extraordinary, which expresses itself linguistically in the context of ordinary. Being so interpreted, the life-world is not a pre-scientific but meta-scientific structure.
