Summary/Abstract: Parallel with a short presentation of communication, information and art fields, this article analyses some contemporary theses (communication-information, culture-Europa/Romania, art and culture-cultural industries, underground culture-UE, (the cultural development of) mass media-UE, mass media-the future of democracy) and anti-theses (information-culture, mass media-culture creators, cultural industries-underground culture, underground culture-UE, mass media-the commercial interests of UE), generated by the informative society.
