Kosova and Çamëria in the First Half of the XXth Century – A Comparative Look

Summary/Abstract: Kosova and Çamëria have e very painful history in many directions, similar, but even with different, particular specific elements. In Kosova existed a more outstanding performance of the Albanian national identity. Here the Albanian schools were removed immediately after the Young Turkish Revolution, while in Çamëri they were removed in the year 1937. In any case, the general characteristic is that the development of the national education, and in general the affirmation of the national identity in both the regions were hindered in a violent manner by the nationalistic policies of the Serb and Greek states.[...]
