Summary/Abstract: The four criteria of EFQM excellence model defined as “results” are assessed as the results of exploiting the potential of the organization. Companies applying for quality awards have the opportunity to collect half of the number of overall points in this group of categories. Therefore, a closer look on these criteria is necessary, especially since the analysis is performed on companies from the food industry. For the purposes of this paper, selfassessment reports from Wielkopolska Quality Award (WNJ) Contest have been reviewed. A short introduction about the WNJ is given, followed by the presentation of mentioned companies. Based on reports consistent with the EFQM excellence model, the results achieved by companies are summarized. Conclusions and food sector specific circumstances finalize the paper.
