Summary/Abstract: The article’s objective is to demonstrate that quality improvement processes promote trust; therefore this value can be considered a result of the activities of an organization oriented towards quality. The author proves that along with quality implementation and improvement, trust can be increased both in internal and external relations. The article discusses the basic definitions of trust as well as the importance of trust in internal and external relations. Furthermore, the role of trust in quality management is presented and the author’s proposals for trust development (with the use of trust dimensions and its types, as well as organizational and instrumental values close to the TQM concept) are discussed. The author presents proposals for further research and the possibilities of using trust to achieve financial benefits.
