Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to the dating and origin of one of the most famous Old Slavonic miscellanies – Mihanović Homiliary, the archetype of which goes back to the epoch of the pupils of Sts. Cyril and Methodius. The author succeeded to identify the first scribe of this Serbian manuscript (traditionally dated to the last quarter of the 13th century) by the monk Nikola (who had previously been the Abbot of the Studenica Monastery), who copied in 1329, by the order of the head of Serbian Church archbishop Daniil II, the parchment Gospel Lectionary, the fragments of which are preserved in Moscow (the Russian State Library) as well as in the British Library.
